Director

Lousie Sargent, educated at the University of Oregon, began her working career with the Area  Agency on Aging(AAA ) in the Oregon Project Independence (OPI) Program, which provides in-home  care services to seniors. Louise later spent fifteen years managing Evergreen Home Services, Inc., a private company providing in-home care services to Wasco, Hood River and Sherman Counties. During this time, Louise began her work with Oregon's Division of Medical Assistance Programs (DMAP) and became involved in the transportation program, helping to establish the current system for supported rides for Medicaid eligible clients. She served for more than thirteen years on the SMAP advisory committee in Wasco County. Louise has also served as a long-term care social worker, and a hands-on caregiver, providing care for her mother who was suffering with Parkinson's Disease.

Louise has a strong background in business management and care coordination. She enjoys helping senior and disabled adults to live full and vital lives. She is currently on the Senior Advisory Council with the AAA and is a certified Director of Assisted Living Facilities. Louise lives outside of Dufer, Oregon with her husband where they raise hair sheep and purebred Cardigan Welsh Corgis.

Board of Directors

The inspiration, development and continued direction for Canyon Rim Manor is provided by a board of directors comprised of dedicated leaders and citizens from the local community, volunteering

their time and expertise to ensure Wasco County senior and disabled

adults are provided high quality affordable assisted living services.  Canyon Rim Manor is

owned by White River Health & Living, Inc.,, a 501c3 non-profit organization governed by a

community based board of directors.

Management Company

Concepts in Community Living, Inc. (CCL) has provided management support to Canyon Rim Manor since it opened in 2005. CCL is a recognized pioneer in the assisted living field, helping to develop and manage hundreds of assisted living communities, providing consulting services to supportive housing developers, owners, government agencies and social service providers, and being an eminent voice in helping to shape best practices and policies industry-wide.
